Fields of supply

The gardens in Anyang, Bundang or Yongin in the  seoul metropolitan area have their origins in a hasty development away from an agrarian past. As a reflection of urban growth they turn  non-spaces into efficient micrcosms. Unintentional sculptures alike these makeshifts have an aesthetic value in their own right. The little huts and shacks, beautiful in a subtle way, make for transient constellations. They are part of an informal economy whose existence follows the cycles of urban growth and reassembles its leftovers.
